Gast’r’Bajtrs was an old Slovenian funk/new wave band. Probably they wont hold it against me if I call them Slovenian Talking Heads.

In 1983 they released record called Ni življenja brez ljubezni (There is no life without love). Blue record cover is one of the best artworks I have ever seen on Slovenian record sleeve. It was made by Slovenian graphic designer Dean Herenda and italian comic book artist Stefano Tamburi. Tamburi died of heroin overdose in 1986.

Band later changed their name to Demolition Group which also marked shift in their sound, their music got heavier and weirder. Also their record covers were total shit.

Below you can listen to one of their most known (and probably best) song, Japanci rade za nas (Japanese are working for us).
